Mae Surin Waterfall National Park
Mae Surin Waterfall National Park ‘Wanna have a relaxing picnic near the waterfall?’
Here is another place that you should love in Mae Hong Son. This one is a national park, another choice that you may want to keep in your mind.
All national parks share the same appearance, which is woodland scenery. Yes, that’s right. Only that this one is no ordinary one, but it is a waterfall national park.
Mae Surin Waterfall National Park is located both in Muang County and Khun Yuam County. The area is quite large, about 396.6 millions square metres.
If you hate hot weather, you’re gonna love this place. The weather is mostly cold all year round. Don’t worry about sweating too much.
You’re suggested to go there anytime, except for the rainy season. You know, if it rains all the time, how can you have fun in the middle of open-air space?
You may explore the woodland area, but be careful. There are many types of forests, for examples, mixed forest, deciduous dipterocarp forest, montane forest etc. Animals can be found too, but they’re mostly small, something like birds or bats.
You can even set up your own tent and spend some nights at the Mae Surin Waterfall National Park. You can have a picnic near the waterfall, which will be very romantic. Or, you can explore some of the minor tourist attractions within the national park, for example, Bu Tong Field at Doi Mae-U-Kho, Doi Pui Luang etc. Enjoy your sightseeing.
How to get there
Use the Highway No.108. Try to head for Khun Yuam County first. During that, you should find your way to switch to the Highway No.1263 instead. After you complete the task, just drive for another 40 kilometres. Your destination will be in front of your eyesight.
